Phan Thu Uyen

Student Accounts Coordinator

Phan Thu Uyen is a new Student Accounts Coordinator at Students Affairs and Services. In this role she will be responsible for student billing and payment processes, assist with financial aid and scholarships, and ensure compliance with university policies and regulations. Uyen hold a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Melbourne and she had a few years of experience working as an accountant and project officer in both corporate and NGO before coming to Fulbright University Vietnam.

As the first member in the family that has ever been to a university to a globally ranked university, Uyen understands firsthand the challenges, the discrimination and inequality from accessing to resources that presented to an international student in comparison to a local student. Coming back to Vietnam, she held great empathy and respect to the underserving students, the many students that left their hometowns for bigger cities in search for better education and opportunities. As she too see herself in them. She believes that any student, regardless of where they come from, deserves a world-class education. Uyen is excited to be a part of a university that is on a mission to turn this goal into reality.

In her free time, Uyen enjoys doing yoga, immersing herself in nature and catching up for meals with her friends.
