Originating from the idea of designing a game set to foster positive emotions while grappling with personal sadness, Nhat Tan, Minh Phuong, Do Quyen, Yen Nhi, and Thuy Duong have launched the SeeSaw Vietnam project. After receiving the “golden ticket” from Shark Tank Season 5, the project is currently collaborating with organizations such as the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation and the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation to continue spreading their mission of mental health care for the Vietnamese community.

Under the name SeeSaw Vietnam, the group of students—Nhat Tan, Do Quyen, Yen Nhi, and Minh Phuong—created a card game that can spark conversations, helping players better understand themselves, their friends, and their families. The game not only provides entertainment value but also aims to enhance the mental health of players by improving their relationships with those around them.
“Our ultimate goal is to get this product on store shelves and into the hands of consumers, not just to compete in startup contests. Even though we entered the competition with a very relaxed mindset, it was probably our long-term commitment to SeeSaw that convinced the judges,” expressed Nhat Tan.
A unique aspect of the SeeSaw Vietnam team is that the four members plan to pursue different majors: Psychology, Literature, Communication & Art Studies, and Economics. They share that their diverse specializations have helped them complement each other’s knowledge, allowing them to fully develop a unique product in terms of content, design, and business strategy. Student Do Quyen mentioned that foundational courses at Fulbright University, such as Quantitative Reasoning and Design Thinking, have greatly benefited the group. Throughout the product development process, the SeeSaw team also received expert advice from university faculty on psychology, qualitative research, and aesthetics.
