On July 19th, 2024, Fulbright University Vietnam had the distinct honor of welcoming U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth of Illinois to our campus. We were also privileged to host U.S. Consul General Susan Burns, Office Director of Education, Economic Growth and Governance at USAID Douglas Balko, and U.S. Consulate General Political Section Chief Christina Le.
The visit began with a campus tour led by our Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Thomas Vallely, and President Scott Fritzen, supported by the YSEALI team and our students. Senator Duckworth attended insightful presentations by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh on Vietnam’s economic and political climate, Dr. Le Quan on the hi-tech workforce in semiconductors, and Dr. Le Viet Phu on Mekong SMEs.
This visit highlighted the U.S. government’s support for our university. We are grateful for the opportunity to share our vision and accomplishments with such distinguished guests.
