Vietnam – United States Joint Vision Statement (2015)

During General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng’s official visit to the United States, both sides issued a Joint Statement on the Vision for Vietnam-U.S. Relations.

In regard to education, the statement emphasized:

“Vietnam and the United States are committed to advancing educational cooperation, including collaboration through institutions such as Fulbright University Vietnam and other higher education partnerships, as well as in areas of English language training. Strengthening people-to-people exchanges remains of great importance.”

Additionally, the granting of the establishment license for Fulbright University Vietnam by Vietnam was included in the section “Agreements and Understandings Reached During the Visit” in the Joint Statement.
